FACUNDO ARBOIT

FACUNDO ARBOIT

CURATOR OF THE SERIES

Facundo Arboit is an Argentine-Italian architect whose career has been shaped by more than a decade of international practice across Europe and Latin America. Having lived and worked extensively in Norway, Switzerland, and Italy, he has cultivated a design approach that balances architectural precision with cultural storytelling. His work is rooted in a fascination with history, materiality, and the enduring dialogue between past and present in design.

Trained as an architect, Facundo has led projects ranging from cultural landmarks in the Alps to housing developments and experimental design studies. His projects—often minimal in expression yet rich in narrative—have been recognized in publications and exhibitions for their ability to merge contemporary needs with a respect for context and tradition. He is particularly drawn to raw and authentic uses of natural materials, a philosophy that aligns closely with the principles of mid-century modern design.

As curator of this series, Facundo Arboit brings not only his architectural eye but also his deep knowledge of design history. He views furniture pieces as more than functional objects: they are cultural artifacts, products of a unique historical moment when craftsmanship, innovation, and beauty converged in Scandinavian design. His curatorial work highlights these objects as both collectible treasures and living design legacies that continue to enrich contemporary interiors.

Through this initiative, he positions design as a cultural bridge—inviting collectors, architects, and enthusiasts alike to see furniture not simply as decoration, but as evidence of a broader heritage. Each piece is presented as part of an ongoing narrative about design’s role in shaping how we live, remember, and imagine.
